Job Description
Job Title: Outside Sales Account Manager
Department: Sales
Reports To: Vice President of Sales & Marketing
FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: $ per bi-weekly pay period
SUMMARY
Our outside account managers sell bus parts and service, truck equipment, and trailer parts and service, cargo control, highway safety equipment, emergency lighting, construction PPE (personal protective equipment), fleet shop supplies and equipment. The target customers of these products and services are municipalities, school districts, public utilities, contractors, manufacturers, resellers and repair shops.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prospect and locate new business, maintain and build sales in existing accounts within an assigned territory. This territory may change as mutually agreed and prioritized by Auto Safety House.
- Report and track all sales activity (on provided formats) as required to confirm agreed upon customer contact and revenue generating sales call goals.
- Assist in the outside sales team effort to enhance the image of Auto Safety House as a quality fleet solutions supplier of choice.
- Report to a designated Branch manager, Outside Sales Manager and/or VP of Sales &
- Marketing as all will assist in directing your sales activities as needed to achieve the planned sales objectives.

- Minimum 3–5 years outside sales experience (Heavy duty parts, service, and trailer parts).
- Excellent communication skills.
- This person should possess a strong sales aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Be computer literate
- Able to work in a fast pace environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients or members of the business community. Ability to write effective business communication to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply financial mathematical concepts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The majority of work performed is out of an office environment making daily sales calls to current customers and prospecting for new customers. Sales account managers utilize their personal vehicles to perform these duties.
